Public Sector: Islington steps up recycling efforts

Islington Council has called in Upward Curve to promote its Recycling Education Centre to local schools and community groups as it bids to help cut landfill waste.

The £200,000 interactive learning centre - claimed to be the first of its kind - overlooks Islington's civic amenity site where glass, cans, plastic and other material are recycled.

'Children are great recycling ambassadors: they get the rest of the family to recycle and tend to continue recycling into adulthood,' said Upward Curve managing director Helen Ashley.
