The Society for Editors and Proofreaders (SfEP), which exists to promote editorial standards, has started to offer advice and training courses to help businesses boost staff writing skills.
SfEP has decided to seize on the fear of making a horrible gaffe in an important report, contract or press release. It is hoping to sign up 'journalists, PROs, researchers and specialist writers' to its services, which include a newsletter.
Integra Communications account director Louise Third says working for SfEP will keep her Nottingham team 'on our toes', but was confident the agency would be able to practise what the society preaches.
