Healthcare: Stannard rejoins SHL as associate director

Shire Health London (SHL) has lured Sophie Stannard back to her former associate director role.

Stannard, reverting to her maiden name from Owen, resigned from SHL in 2003 after a period of maternity leave to join Packer Forbes Communications (PRWeek, 23 January 2004).

She has now rejoined SHL - part of the Shire Health Group, at which she spent seven years - after leaving PFC last month.

PFC managing director Alexa Forbes said: 'She leaves with our very best wishes. We'll continue to benefit from the experience she brought to Packer Forbes.'

Stannard reports to SHL managing director Matt de Gruchy on a four-strong management team that also includes Sian Boisseau and Ali Wright. She is heading UK work for Pfizer's Celebrex, plus UK remits for Merck Sharp & Dohme.

De Gruchy described Stannard as 'effectively replacing' Lucie Harper, who is joining Weber Shandwick (PRWeek, 17 June).
