City & Corporate: M appoints Gordon for IPOs

M: Communications has hired former Chrysalis group director of corporate affairs Lisa Gordon to boost its work in the media sector and on IPOs.

M co-founder Hugh Morrison said: 'Having been an analyst and in a strategic in-house role, Lisa's perspective will be invaluable to our clients. But we also see a broader role for her in helping develop our UK IPO franchise,' he said.

The agency wants Gordon to grow its IPO business in the UK in line with Europe. She will report to Morrison and co-founder Nick Miles.

'I think there is a great opportunity to provide added value in corporate communications, particularly in the UK, having sat on the other side of the fence as a board member,' she said.

Gordon left Chrysalis in December 2002 after eight years at the company.

She joined as director of corporate development and affairs from her previous role as media analyst at investment bank County Natwest.

Aged 28, she was the youngest female director of a public company when she joined Chrysalis.

Gordon is currently a non-executive director of publisher Future.
