Diary: Freud proves a sucker for a pet

While Frank's adventures with Flying Frank have certainly intrigued PRWeek, our collective eyebrow was raised further by news that Freud Communications is poised to acquire an octopus.

Agency boss Matthew Freud's fourth-floor lair has apparently housed a large tank for the past three weeks, currently home to 'around half a dozen of those little tropical fish', according to our spy.

But we learn that an octopus will shortly arrive in the tank ('when the water has settled'), at which juncture, our spy tells us, the tank's current residents are likely to be toast.

We hope Freud has done his homework on which specimen to bring in - octopuses vary in size from a few centimetres to the giants of the Pacific that can grow to over ten metres. We'd love to see what Fiona Noble, Kris Thykier et al would make of one of those.
