Fuel PR is promoting the centre, whose technology - known as electron beam computed tomography - has been hailed as a major advance in disease prevention.
The agency is to boost awareness of the centre among consumers, but the campaign will go on to target the corporate market.
Plans are afoot to open a second centre in the North within a year.
Fuel, which reports to sales and marketing manager Inder Sagoo, has four staff, including Camilla Butterworth, a former GCI Healthcare stalwart who is working on a freelance basis.
Fuel was hired after a pitch against Nexus Communications, Clear and EuroPR Group.
