The media relations campaign will target broadsheet newspapers, tabloids, websites such as iVillage.co.uk, regional press and broadcasters. Press trips are also being arranged.
'These are particular guides for people who want to go off the beaten track, and differentiate what Britain has to offer,' said BGB creative director Lalla Dutt.
VisitBritain said the top three UK accommodation resources were personal recommendation, websites and official guidebooks.
The Enjoy England guides include 'somewhere special', self-catering and holiday homes, and details of blue-flag beaches.
