Ogilvy leads winners at Sabre Awards

Ogilvy PR Worldwide was the biggest winner at last week's inaugural European Superior Achievement in Branding and Reputation (Sabre) Awards.

The agency, whose outgoing EMEA chief executive is Paul Barber, scooped five gongs, including Best Pan-European Campaign and Best in Show.

Its Kenyan office received the Middle East and Africa Award for its repositioning of UK disaster drink Dasani for Coca-Cola.

Best in Show - the grand prix Sabre - went to Ogilvy's UK office for its CSR work around malaria treatment for Novartis in Africa.

The UK office also won the pan-European award, for its work on erectile dysfunction drug Levitra with Bayer Healthcare and GlaxoSmithKline.

Blue Rubicon won three awards: Corporate Comms Consultancy of the Year, Issues Management Campaign of the Year and Tech Campaign of the Year.

Burson-Marsteller, Fleishman-Hillard and Weber Shandwick Worldwide also won three Sabres each. Leo PR of Turkey and France's Porter Novelli and Publicis Consultants each earned two awards.

Hill & Knowlton won European Consultancy of the Year, while Fishburn Hedges was named Best Consultancy to Work For.

Euro RSCG Leedex was recognised for its Little Chef media relations work, and Chandler Chicco Agency UK bagged an award for its AstraZeneca campaign.

The awards, handed out in Paris, attracted 500 entries from 21 countries.
