Public Affairs: DaimlerChrysler nabs Ford chief

WASHINGTON: Car maker DaimlerChrysler has wooed Ford vice-president of public policy and governmental affairs John Bozzella.

He joins as V-P of external affairs and public policy for the Americas, replacing Tim McBride, who left to become senior V-P of government relations at mortgage firm Freddie Mac.

Bozzella will work with Daimler offices in Washington DC, Canada and Mexico, and co-ordinate US federal and state policy issues.

As a result of Bozzella's exit, Ford has promoted V-P of Washington affairs Dan Brouillett to V-P of governmental affairs, with a global remit.
