Media Relations: LeasePlan fights company car tax

LeasePlan, the world's largest vehicle manager, has launched a PR fight-back against tax and legal pressures on company cars.

The company has hired Republic to convince senior managers that company cars are a necessary and affordable part of their business.

Republic joint MD Deborah Lewis said the campaign, which commenced last month, would 'align the interests of senior decision makers with company car fleet management'.

Company cars have become more expensive to run in recent years because of increased tax liability.

But Republic is targeting the national broadsheet press, BBC Radio 4 and 5 and management titles, such as Management Today, to show that car fleets are cost-effective and can help meet new requirements planned for duty of care legislation.
