BT refreshes IT literacy efforts

BT is reviewing the PR contract for its Digital Inclusion campaign, which Band & Brown has promoted for the past three years.

CSR comms manager Alison Garner said Hill & Knowlton and Harrison Cowley North were pitching against Band & Brown for the £100,000 account.

Since 2002, Digital Inclusion has marked BT's effort to get less IT-literate communities to use the internet.

But Garner said BT was reviewing the account because the campaign was now 'much more established' and would focus on more specific groups.

Campaigns such as Net Mums will be promoted at events designed to encourage internet adoption.
