Media Relations: John Smedley to play up UK status

British knitwear company John Smedley will draw on its 220-year history as a home-produced brand to boost its profile among upmarket consumer fashion publications.

Caireen Wackett, senior account manager at Yellow Door Creative Marketing, which has been appointed to handle the PR drive, said John Smedley was well known and respected in the fashion industry but its profile among the general public was lacking.

John Smedley dropped Quantum PR for Yellow Door earlier this month.
