Blinkx rethinks UK comms brief

Internet search engine Blinkx is reviewing its UK PR account, encompassing consumer, trade and corporate media relations.

US-based Blinkx has ceased to work with Mantra, the agency that promoted its UK launch last year, and is sounding out other agencies to handle a fresh comms contract.

Blinkx marketing manager Charlotte Herbert would only say she was 'considering options' as to how to replace Mantra.

Blinkx, which offers 'contextual' web searches, wants to boost its profile among consumers and plans to stage an agency pitch within a fortnight, according to a source.
