The Morethannews website, available from 29 April from TNS Media Intelligence, will provide quantitative analysis of brand coverage in broadcast, print and online media.
'It is the only system in the industry to offer both real-time data and in-depth analysis of broadcast and press coverage simultaneously,' claimed TNS deputy managing director Dean Wading.
TNS media evaluation development manager Louise Cooke said Morethannews will allow clients to access up-to-the-minute analysis of coverage, with charts automatically available for factors such as advertising value equivalents and reach.
Cooke said that although data on the extent of coverage was already available, clients previously had to wait up to three weeks for manual evaluation.
'It's a very quick real-time basic service,' she added.
Cooke said it would be particularly useful for those involved in crisis comms because it allowed clients to frequently check their brand's performance.
Press coverage will be uploaded on a daily basis, while radio and TV coverage will be constantly uploaded.
Although the service does not include in-depth qualitative analysis, Cooke said an additional feature allowed each item of coverage to be assigned a positive, negative or neutral descriptor, which could be used for statistical analysis.
Cooke added that the automated nature of the online tool would drive down costs for users, making it as little as a quarter of the price of existing evaluation products.
