Price, who left the FT in 2000 after 11 years with the financial daily, joined College Hill last week as an equity partner.
He reports to College Hill head of telecoms media and technology Adrian Duffield.
College Hill's TMT clients include video compression firm Forbidden Technologies and radio station group GWR.
Price is better known as the author of The Internet Entrepreneurs, a series of interviews with 13 dotcom pioneers from 1999 including former Terra Lycos CEO Bob Davis and Amazon founder and chief executive Jeff Bezos.
He left the FT to work as editorial director of EO.net, evaluating dotcom business plans for Venture Capital consideration. From 2001 to 2004, he worked as a freelance journalist, writing for The Guardian, FT and tech titles and worked for a year on The Daily Telegraph before joining the FT in 1989.
He was most recently a freelance at The Sunday Times.
