Diary: Official - snoring damages sex lives

As if our media aren't sex-saturated enough, the British Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Association (BSSAA) has turned to that guaranteed currency of human interest for its showpiece event of the year.

It plans to arouse the attention of its National Stop Snoring Week, next week, by publishing statistics on the sex lives of snorers.

The week's curtain raiser will be a talk by psychiatrist and TV personality Raj Persaud on the connection between snoring and sex at the Royal Society of Medicine.

'Snoring can ruin your relationship, but it can be controlled and your love life can get better,' says BSSAA co-founder Marianne Davey.

'In the past year, we've looked at the causes and treatments for snoring but this year we thought we needed to do something a little bit different,' she continues.

By this time next week, the BSSAA's image should have been well and truly sexed up.
