Healthcare: GSK's Lawson shifts to Cohn & Wolfe Catalyst

Cohn & Wolfe has snared former client Mark Lawson from drugs giant GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) to help develop its professional relations and medical education arm Catalyst.

Lawson has quit a role as senior brand manager on Parkinson's disease treatment ReQuip to join C&W London as senior professional relations manager within Catalyst. He joined GSK as a graduate trainee six years ago.

C&W Catalyst represents clients including Novartis UK and Pfizer/Altana Pharma (for the company's pre-launch product Daxas), as well as GSK.

C&W launched Catalyst - which is overseen by the agency's joint UK healthcare managing directors Jeremy Clark and Jacinta Collins - last summer (PRWeek, 23 July 2004).

Lawson left his position at GSK last month and started work at C&W London this week.
