City & Corporate: TCG woos FH's Johnson to corporate job

The Communication Group has poached Fishburn Hedges associate director Emma Johnson (nee Simpson) to head its five-strong corporate division.

Johnson, who has been with FH for three years, takes up the new position of corporate division managing director. TCG chief executive Michael Hayman said the position had been upgraded from that held by divisional director Duncan Hart, who left to join Manning Selvage & Lee before Easter.

Hart was with TCG since 2003, when he joined from Burson-Marsteller, where he had been a director. TCG's corporate clients include Ricoh, Invest Australia and Jaeger. Prior to joining FH in 2002, Johnson spent more than seven years at Weber Shandwick, where she was most recently director of the company's corporate division in Singapore.

At FH, Johnson worked on the firm's BT, Visa Europe and Department of Health accounts. In February, MD Jessica Bondy quit TCG only two months after the return of Hayman from Hill & Knowlton.
