Collis is casualty in Lloyds TSB rejig

Lloyds TSB has axed the role of its top PRO Terence Collis amid a wider comms restructure.

Collis leaves at the end of this month after more than four years as director of corporate comms.

Head of media relations Mary Walsh was promoted to director of corporate relations last Friday in anticipation of Collis's departure at the end of this month.

The restructure will see its 16-strong internal comms team merged with HR. In addition, the three-strong corporate responsibility team joins the public policy and regulation division.

Walsh, who retains control of the bank's other 16 PROs, said no further PR jobs had been axed, but she refused to rule out further redundancies.

Collis joined Lloyds TSB in 2001, having been made redundant from his director of corporate affairs job at NatWest.
