Media Relations: Tandberg targets SMEs' web fears

Videoconferencing company Tandberg is targeting SMEs with a media drive that addresses their cost and safety concerns over using broadband.

It comes as Tandberg launches software that claims to offer secure broadband connections.

SMEs often find videoconferencing out of reach because of the expense of ISDN lines and fears over broadband safety.

The media relations campaign, by Noiseworks, will be delivered in part by videoconferencing.

The primary target is trade media for sectors that use multiple locations.

These include the public sector for distance education, healthcare for basic medical observation, and the finance and manufacturing industries.

Tandberg will also use stunts inviting people to communicate with others around the world in an effort to attract coverage.
