City & Corporate: Maitland assists Quiksilver bid

Californian surfware maker Quiksilver has hired The Maitland Consultancy, and firms from its international AMO Network, for its acquisition of French ski maker Skis Rossignol.

Maitland was brought in to handle PR around the deal at the end of February after initial PR efforts had been managed by AMO member firm Euro RSCG in France.

Quiksilver announced last month that it had secured the agreement of the Boix-Vives family, which controls 49.9 per cent of the voting rights of Skis Rossignol. Under the terms of the deal Laurent Boix-Vives will become a director of Quiksilver.

Euro RSCG senior executive V-P Bernard Sananes is leading the account.

Maitland partner Neil Bennett heads the UK team.
