Public Sector: DoH hires Ogilvy ahead of election

The Department of Health has signed up Ogilvy PR to bolster its internal comms as the Government strives to ensure the NHS meets quality standards in the run-up to the general election.

Ogilvy PR Europe client services director Ash Coleman-Smith said the contract, for an initial three-month period, would involve events, literature and online communications targeted at DoH managers. He said: 'There is no more sensible moment than now to make sure the DoH is as focused on quality as possible.'

Ogilvy won the account, believed to be worth £100,000, in a three-way pitch this month. The account is led by internal comms managing director Michael Frankenburg, reporting to DoH head of organisational development and change Bill Phillips.
