City & Corporate: Timmons heads to Redleaf

Former Canary Wharf group head of corporate and investor comms Wendy Timmons has re-emerged at Redleaf Communications.

Timmons, who left Canary Wharf last July following Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds' buy-out of the real estate group - the City's longest-ever takeover battle - has joined Redleaf as financial PR director.

She told PRWeek she had originally intended to take a year out from financial comms after the 'protracted takeover process' but was hired two weeks ago by Redleaf chief executive Emma Kane to concentrate on property client business. Timmons' main clients at Redleaf include Unite, MonsterMob and stockbroker Collins Stewart.

Timmons joined Canary Wharf in 2002 from Bell Pottinger Financial where she had worked since 1993 as an account executive and then director advising the East London real estate group and other clients, including BSkyB, News International, Chelsfield, Thames Water and Marconi.

Canary Wharf has scrapped Timmons' role after Morgan Stanley took the group private following a 15-month takeover battle.
