Public Affairs: Corgi and AS Biss in CO health push

The Council for Registered Gas Installers (Corgi) is using AS Biss for a campaign to boost awareness among politicians and healthcare professionals of misdiagnosing carbon monoxide poisoning. The move follows a £100,000 cash injection in January from the Health and Safety Executive specifically for the campaign.

It involves providing MPs with information on the flu-like symptoms of CO poisoning and how to get boilers tested for them to distribute in constituency surgeries in the run-up to the general election.

The initiative won Department of Health endorsement last month, with reference cards and posters sent to GP's surgeries. The account is led by AS Biss consultant Mike Birtwistle.
