Diary: Another PR mystery remains unsolved

It is increasingly uncommon - quite bafflingly - for PR agencies to employ other PR agencies for their own PR.

Last week we received a press release from one agency (let's call it 'A') about its client - another PR agency ('B') - and its new client ('C').

Upon phoning A for more information on B (and C), we were told it was perhaps easiest to call B direct; A, though, hastened to add: 'Do you want me to call B and ask them to keep their line free so you can call?'

We declined, puzzled as to the need for the relationship between A and B.

One of the PR industry's many mysteries, we assume.
