Media relations: Wyndham wines in heritage drive

Pernod Ricard UK is to re-position its Wyndham Estate wine brand to capitalise on its status as Australia's oldest commercial winery.

The consumer and trade media campaign by Richmond Towers PR will reinforce a £500,000 marketing drive that starts in April, with the tagline 'Where Australian Shiraz Began', 170 years after releasing its first wine.

PR was previously focused on quality and piggybacked UK interest in Australian wines. It will now promote founder George Wyndham's role in building the Australian Shiraz industry.
