Media relations: TrafficLink seeks new client base

TrafficLink, a provider of real-time traffic reports to TV and radio, is targeting fleet and logistics trade media to attract its first non-media clients.

The shift in its sales target follows the signing of its first contract with a non-media company, National Express.

TrafficLink, which is used by the 210 commercial radio stations and the BBC, has hired Brands2Life to gain coverage in trade titles for sectors such as travel, transport, delivery, automotive, fleet and logistics, that are affected by traffic congestion.

TrafficLink CEO Nick Somper said the three-year deal with National Express will act as an example to other transport firms, which he says have previously not had access to a real-time service with its range and accuracy.
