Nutricia markets sip feeds - designed for patients who are unable to swallow food - under the brand names Fortisip, Fortijuice and Fortifresh.
The campaign is aiming to boost awareness among primary care trusts of the proper use of sip feeds in treating people such as pre- and post-operative patients and the elderly.
Nutricia continues to use Shire Health London on a project to promote Fortisip.
'There is a level of confusion over the importance of sip feeds in supplementing the diets of individuals who suffer from malnutrition and cannot meet nutritional requirements from other foods,' said ECCO Healthcare head Eric Hansen. 'We aim to build this awareness among health professionals.'
ECCO Healthcare, the healthcare arm of PR agency Kinross & Render, launched four months ago (PRWeek, 1 October 2004). Nutricia is now its largest client.
Rival products to the 'Forti' range are produced by companies such as Nestle Clinical Nutrition and Abbott Laboratories.
