Healthcare: Isabel diagnostic tool in NHS awareness drive

Isabel Healthcare, which makes a 'reminder system' that is expected to play a major role in the way doctors diagnose and treat patients, has begun a campaign to boost awareness across the NHS.

Fuse PR is handling work ranging from media relations targeting national journalists and medical titles, to 'one-to-one lobbying' at 'e-health' and academic events to promote Isabel.

The creation of the Isabel diagnostic tool, which enables doctors to tap symptoms into a database and receive a list of possible diagnoses, was inspired by the experience of the firm's CEO Jason Maude, whose daughter nearly died due to repeated misdiagnosis.

Maude launched the enterprise three years ago as a charity and it became commercial last year. Promotional work at its genesis was handled by Media Strategy.
