Public Sector: St Helens Saints in anti-bully drive

St Helens rugby league club Saints has teamed up with the local council to promote its anti-bullying campaign, Keeping Children Safe.

The players met children last week for a photocall to launch the drive, which targets the borough's primary and secondary schools. Interactive workshops will explore the issues.

A council spokeswoman said: 'We are looking at why children are bullied, what they might feel, why some children bully others andwhy those who are bullied should tell other people.'

Pupils are also being asked to write poems, raps and draw posters.
