Heloiza Carvalho, director at Maquina said the agency was selected via a pitch, based on its financial experience – it created a financial division four years ago, with clients including the National Association of Investment Banks, and GP Investimentos, a local private equity manager.
Maquina will focus on media relations to increase the bank's exposure in business and financial press, targeting Valor Economico, Gazeta Mercantial, Exame, IstEDinheiro and Epoca Negocios.
Carvalho will manage the account, with a team of two, reporting to Antonio Quintella, president of CSFB in Brazil.
CSFB entered the Brazilian market in 1990. In 1998 it acquired Banco Garantia, at the time the biggest locally owned investment bank in the country.
