According to the agency's director Alessandra Fonseca, ISS selected S2
through a pitch process, which included two other agencies. ISS formerly
worked in Brazil with agency Voice.
Fonseca said S2’s IT expeirence was a key factor in the selection. The agency was created 16 years ago by two IT journalists and it’s portfolio includes Microsoft and Sun Systems.
"It is only in the past two years that S2 has diversified and attracted clients from other sectors," Fonseca said.
S2 will provide media relations services to ISS. Elaine Rodrigues will coordinate the new account and Claudia Fuji will be in charge of the day-to-day work. They will report to Luciana Pereira, ISS' marketing coordinator for Latin America.
Based in Sao Paulo, ISS has over 600 clients in Brazil. Its strongest presence is in the banking sector, but with many customers in the telecommunications industry and in the government.
S2 has 50 employees in its Sao Paulo headquarters. It also has the accounts of Philco, and Coca-Cola's beer brand Kaiser.
