Proceeds from sales of the calendar, to go on sale in October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, will be split between Breakthrough Breast Cancer, Macmillan Cancer Relief and Breast Cancer Care.
The project aims to counter the negative image of their bodies that women
tend to suffer when they have undergone treatment and surgery for breast cancer.
Gabi Shomer, a volunteer at Corsets 4 Cancer who is overseeing the search, said: ‘I understand PR agencies can’t work for free, but we are appealing to their charitable side for a lower rate.’
Shomer said the brief would include management of a launch party and advice on how to present the calendar to potential sponsors. The charity has secured sponsorship from a number of small firms.
