Battered FSA on hunt for agency

The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has issued a tender for a PR agency shortly after being criticised for the way it handled a case against insurance giant Legal & General.

The Financial Services and Markets Tribunal slammed the FSA’s regulatory decisions committee last month for not being independent enough in the L&G case. The ruling has prompted the FSA to review its enforcement procedures.

Aside from upholding the FSA’s reputation, the agency will need to communicate to business a raft of forthcoming EU directives and their implementation.

Pitches will be held in March and April.
