PepsiCo to boost Gatorade FA link

PepsiCo is planning the first PR campaign behind energy drink Gatorade’s sponsorship of the Football Association and the England football team.

The company will use Connectpoint PR to promote the drink to both consumers and potential retailers. The agency is also handling sampling activity.

PepsiCo has worked with 1090 Communications, the outfit that Manchester-based Connectpoint bought last year (PRWeek, 13 August 2004) on triathlon events for Gatorade.
