CONSUMER Volkswagen is using Freud Communications to stir up media interest in its latest Golf GTI ad campaign. The ad, first screened this week, features late Singing in the Rain star Gene Kelly.

FINANCIAL SERVICES Ex- Ebookers head of comms Oliver Strong has joined Royal & SunAlliance as external comms manager. Strong reports to head of external comms Phil Wilson Brown.

CONSUMER Whiteleys Shopping Centre in London’s Bayswater has retained Six Degrees to handle its marketing and PR. Promotional work will include media relations, events, text-messaging and online PR.
