D’Amico joined as RBC Capital Markets’ first communications head last September from the Department for Education and Skills.
She declined to comment on the other agencies that were invited to pitch and would not give the name of the agency that previously held the account.
WS Square Mile director Melissa Rowling and managing directors Michael Prescott and Mike Kirk are leading the account, having begun work for RBC Capital Markets earlier this month.
