The exit of Biggar, a former B-M UK chief executive, will be gradual over the next six months. He will be replaced as chairman by his deputy Gavin Grant, while his global corporate role will go to US-based Pat Ford.
Biggar’s departure comes as worldwide president and CEO Tom Nides promotes Ken Rietz to the vacant US chief executive post, as part of a global management reshuffle.
Rietz is the replacement for Chet Burchett, who quit in February last year.
Co-chief executive for Europe Carlos Lareau will move to New York to take Reitz’s position as COO. In turn, global tech practice chair Heidi Sinclair moves to Spain to replace Lareau, with responsibilities for Continental Europe.
Per Heggenes’s role as co-CEO Europe and UK chief executive, which he took over from Biggar last year, is unaffected, but Heggenes has stepped down as head of the agency’s so-called insights and ideas group.
