The agency was appointed on the basis of prior experience, according to VP Roberto Grad, having previously worked for Veracelk Celulose SA, a pulp mill built by Stora Enso in partnership with Aracruz Celulose.
'Stora Enso felt the need to strengthen its brand in Brazil, as the company is basically known here as a shareholder of Veracel,' said Grad.
CL-A will provide media relations services, events and CSR projects for the group. The account will be co-ordinated by Grad, along with a team including Iracema de Carvalho and Carolina Avellar. They report to Stora Enso VP Otavio Pontes.
Located in Bahia State, the Veracel Celulose complex includes a eucalyptus forest area. A mill, due to open in the second half of this year will produce 900,000 tons of pulp per year.
