Lewisham plans campaigns focus

The London Borough of Lewisham is overhauling its PR function to make it ‘more campaign focused’.

The move is a result of a review carried out last summer by Grant Riches Communications director Karen Riches and has triggered four voluntary redundancies, according to interim head of comms and Grant Riches associate Dee Sullivan.

Lewisham is now hunting a head of external comms, a media relations manager, a marketing comms manager, two print and design officers and a corporate editor.

‘The review told us we needed to have a more campaign-based approach in our marketing communications and that we needed to be more strategic in our corporate communications,’ said Sullivan.
