Interpublic drops GJW from WS arm

Weber Shandwick has dropped the GJW name from its PA practice as parent firm Interpublic seeks to streamline its brands.

WS GJW now becomes known as WS Public Affairs. However, MD Jon Mcleod said it might deploy the GJW name separately to avoid client conflicts or use it to provide PA advice to clients of sister agency Golin/

Harris. GJW was founded in 1980 and became part of the WS fold in 2001.

* DLA Upstream has rebranded as Upstream after parent law firm DLA’s merger with Piper Rudnick.
