CAA reviews its consumer brief

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has put a chunk of its public affairs contract up for grabs as part of a statutory review.

It is tendering its consumer protection brief – handled by AS Biss & Co – which involves work to support the Air Travel Organisations Licensing insurance scheme for holidaymakers.

The move follows its reappointment of The Waterfront Partnership to handle public affairs around CAA’s safety regulation.

The CAA wants to protect its role regulating UK aviation safety as the European Aviation Safety Agency moots an EU standard.
