NEW YORK: Krispy Kreme has called in Gavin Anderson as the fast-food chain faces a Securities and Exchange Commission investigation and falling stock price.

Krispy Kreme comms director Amy Hughes confirmed GA was working with the company in relation to the SEC investigation into accusations of improper franchise agreements and falsely inflated profits.

GA New York head Robert Mead said Krispy Kreme had ‘recently retained’ his agency but declined to discuss details.
