Red Door scoops NiQuitin CQ brief

GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare has hired Red Door Communications to promote its NiQuitin CQ brand to people who want to quit smoking.

The PR push accompanies the latest Real Quit ad campaign, which will run until the end of next month and shows video diary-style footage of a real-life smoker attempting to quit.

The agency, hired after a pitch last year (PRWeek, 12 November 2004), is aiming to win coverage ‘both inside and outside the traditional stop-smoking seasons’ in the consumer and pharmacy press, said Red Door associate director Catherine Devaney.

Cohn & Wolfe continues to be retained by GSK to target healthcare professionals for NiQuitin CQ; the agency said it declined to tender for the contract.
