Kendle Healthcare is handling Oracle’s European media relations and opinion-leader development work on a healthcare PR programme. This kicked off this week with the visit by a US opinion leader in so-called ‘electronic prescribing’ to the UK, France and Germany.
The agency, run by former Lowe Fusion CEO Neil Kendle, plans an ‘extensive’ features campaign, ‘news events’ and international press trips to meetings and customers using Oracle healthcare technology.
The campaign is aimed at business titles such as the Financial Times, healthcare management titles such as the Health Service Journal plus healthcare, business and technology reporters.
Oracle, which is playing a key role in the NHS national programme for IT, wants more use of its technology to diagnose and manage illnesses.
Kendle, who reports to Oracle senior director of healthcare PR Europe Steve Walker, said: ‘IT in healthcare has had relatively little impact on our lives compared with other areas but this is set to change.’
