Amazon puts PR brief up for grabs is on the hunt for an agency to promote its ‘hard lines’ range of electronics, toys and garden products.

Known primarily as an online bookseller, Amazon wants to focus its 2005 PR efforts on raising awareness of the ‘newer categories’ of products it sells, said Amazon PR manager Marie-Louise Fagan.

The Red Consultancy, which has handled PR for Amazon’s hard lines since the company’s inception, will pitch for the work against Paratus, BMA Communications, Brave Communications, Brands2Life and Resonate.

Fagan said the successful agency would be expected to target ‘everyone who has access to the internet’ and plans to make a decision by the end of the month.
