Software firm CA turns to Inferno

Computer Associates, the software company, has hired Inferno PR to handle its UK PR in a bid to boost its image.

The firm settled a two-year fraud investigation by the US Department of Justice last autumn.

Inferno won the account in a shoot-out with Hotwire PR after a six-way pitch – picked from a line-up of 15 – against incumbent Lewis Communications, Brands2Life, Fleishman-Hillard and Catalysis Communications.

‘We’ve had a lack of clarity about what we do and were looking for an agency that would do what we want, and tell us what to do,’ said

Computer Associates UK & Ireland PR manager Lee Brooke.
