Virgo Health secures Bonviva global PR brief

Virgo Health PR has secured a global PR contract to promote Roche and GlaxoSmithKline’s pre-launch osteoporosis pill Bonviva.

The Richmond-upon-Thames-based outfit replaces Chandler Chicco Agency on a contract promoting the drug, which is expected to gain once-monthly approval on both sides of the Atlantic next year (PRWeek, 19 November).

With joint-MD Sarah Matthew leading the account, Virgo is also handling UK PR for Bonviva, having been appointed to handle the account five months ago.

News of the Bonviva contract win comes after the agency unveiled a fresh batch of hires.

Caroline Fielding, formerly of Shire Health International, has has moved to Virgo to take up the role of associate director.

Meanwhile, Tim Geldard, formerly of Cohn & Wolfe, has joined the agency as an account manager.
