Boeing is understood to have held initial talks with at least three agencies for an account covering EMEA, although it has yet to proceed with a formal pitch.
The talks put in jeopardy Boeing’s three-year relationship with Harrison Cowley, which clinched the UK PR account in 2001 to become the first agency to take comms responsibility for all seven of Boeing’s UK divisions.
Boeing has come under increasing pressure from Airbus, in which aerospace and defence manufacturer EADS and UK rival BAE Systems hold significant stakes.
Boeing UK director of communications Nick West was unavailable for comment.
