Fleet firm Arval bids to lift profile

Fleet-leasing company Arval is to tackle issues such as traffic congestion and offer advice on legislation that affects company car leases in an attempt to broaden its media profile.

Arval, which manages more than 600,000 vehicles in Europe for companies ranging from small to large enterprises, plans to enter media debate about traffic congestion solutions in order to move beyond its traditional media of fleet management trade press.

The campaign will target national and regional press and address financial and HR directors through wider B2B media.

Tim Gearey, head of business PR at McCann Erickson, which has been appointed to handle the six-figure PR account after a pitch against seven-year incumbent Republic PR, said Arval will advise the market about the implications of law changes.
